Jap AI only scenario many many many many many many amends and new AI scripts

Basically an insane Space hamster decided that lunacy was too easy and decided to get really creative

This is Tier 3 ie the hardest so its not total lunacy oh no this utter complete insanity totally bonkers.... basically the only ship not added was the Space battleship Yamato....

You have been warned...…..

v2 update with more transport and a small AI adjustment

v3 with Kulls Air HQ changes and some China HQ tweaks - further update to Ai

v4 additional nastiness in the AI mid game, fixed Boomerang Bomb load and tried again to process Kull's changes

v5 adjusted Vancouver air group and made AI air group distbn in 45 a little more variable around Tokyo

v6 decided it wasn't insane enough so added some more AI nastiness

v7 couple of fixes to AI from my own run through, some additional bases in Australia and 2 AI variant file (total 3 AI variants)

Could be used only with the AI files ?? With the previous ironmam tier 3, and in an unstarted game...

I have the "old" ironman tier 3 scen. It's scen 10.

Now, if I download this new scenario, and rename the AI files, only those, to match scen10, overwriting the old ones, keeping the .cmt files, would that result in a "playable" game?.

there is only one AI file it might work not sure I have moved quite a lot it should work maybe

It won’t be optimal Truskott the New AI dole and scenario are designed in tandem

It will probably work but ok but it’s a big commitment in time to make on a maybe !!!

Also remember to delete all the other AI variants if you want to use the new AI file

First thanks for the AI scenarios. For health reasons I have problems with PBM because sometimes I can't play for periods of time, and when I can play, I like to do many turns a day, so this is great.

First and observation about v1. I blasted the Japanese airfield on Vancouver island to 100% damage by bombing every day, but on Jan 1, it mysteriously send 56 zeros up and destroys my raids flying from a 100% disabled air field.

Second, the flotilla nearby has sat in place now from December 7th to January 14th and not run out of fuel, ammo, or anything else. My recollection from the older tier 3 is that is eventually left about this time.

Finally, I've played up to Jan 14 and see new versions, I'm guessing I can't update, that I have to start all over. Please advise.

Vancouver fixed in v5 thanks
TF I have made a small adj hopefully will fix it
Restart it may allow you to update if you overwrite the scenario in your scen file but it may not haven't tested it - the one you are playing is ok its just the refinements in the 1st post have now been added

Have actually played this out for 6 months v the AI it’s actually very different than watching AI v AI versions I am a real

Andy, I'm Playing version 5 this time and up to January 25.....please tell me I don't need to restart on V6!

Still an issue with Japanese planes in vancoover starting to fly around January 1 from a 100% damaged airfield. Is that a normal handycap for the Japanese on Hard?

Also, about half the zeros there are flying cap at night...not doing much, but never seen zero night fighters before.

BUMP Added new updated scen v7 and in 5th post of thread AI variant files so now the AI will follow 2 separate strategies randomly

If it ain't Babes based I have little interest.

I can never go back to the stock scenario Allied LCU countermix.

That was the reason I pestered Andy Mac to create a Babes based Ironman scenario when I was providing play testing feedback to him on the development of the Ironman scenarios.

I'll keep playing Ironman Japan Ported to Babes, scenario 40, hoping Andy Mac gets around to giving it an update some day.

I. I've really been enjoying this mod: who knew that betting the tar kicked out of you could be so fun!

II. The fighter and dive bomber squadrons on the Graf Zeppelin and Peter Strasser arrive as carrier capable, not carrier trained. Is this intended?

Personally I always play on Historical or Hard depending on how masochistic I am feeling and bump it up to very hard for a few days once every 6 weeks or so.

Out of interest which options did you take !!
