Kevinorf -> Good learning scenarios and resources? (10/14/2019 2:37:43 AM)

Just played Kasserine Pass to a decisive victory and Tannenberg to a draw. Played a fewer of the other smaller ones too. What are other good scenarios to learn from? I just tried Singapore as the Commonweath and it was pretty easy. Might be harder as the attacker...

Suggestions?

This game is best as PBEM...
Try the first airborne invasion in history..

Movement / Combat resource chart:

TOAW Reference Chart linked below (link opens a two page pdf file in a new window)

The Next War has PO, it is a not too large sandbox that is interesting to play in
intro to same in AAR section

but yes, playing the PO exclusively will give you very bad habits

PBEM is needed to really learn

join the Tobruk tourney and play in round 2, not a large scene but lots of movement and strategies

Great chart!

Yeah I'd like to play PBEM eventually but I'd like to play a bunch of small scenarios first and get the game mechanics down better....

May I suggest you the 2nd Battle for Kharkov scenario?

It has a good scale: not too big, not too little. Good number of units without being overwhelming. Possibility of taking many tactical decisions without being too dispersive. Map is varied, units/factions are readily recognizable.

Strongly reccomended.
