ORIGINAL: amon15 This is where i have my stuff in case i need to reinstall... 1. Ok, from a fresh install, first install the official update: https://mega.nz/#!XtA2FQoQ!vIYMP95tbSu-84zuEfqiW9fuJ1UMljIxzl_v_QmKni0 2. After you install this, install the Beta update, in the first post click on the "Attachment (1) ". You start the game from a new shortcut on your desktop that says "War in the Pacific - Admiral's Edition (Beta)" http://www.matrixgames.com/forums/tm.asp?m=3185062 3. After this, install all of the Patch 07 unofficial data scen updates by Andy Mac, those are unofficial but everybody uses them. They are made by one of the devs of the game. Install everything into the SCEN folder, NOT! the default game folder. https://mega.nz/#!CsInUCgQ!sE_Jr_5_aYToLGAk_lc91JXcNM31wVve-b7x2oi43Pw 4. Now when your game is updated, we can install all the mods. here are all of the Chemkids maps in a single file, first backup your ART folder (just in case): https://mega.nz/#!2kwHlSDT!5p9q4xxtR-ut07_pDqUNc5WeNXsRiTta5_VDl-Vq5BA 5. And for the "Unified Art Mod", also unpack everything in your game folder. If something goes wrong, or you don't like it, just delete the ART folder and copy the backed up back in: https://mega.nz/#!jhBxXICK!FvcqcgNm1Aiwx3L3Oi08G9ibtznbfU5bd1wgMRxQkyc About the Maps, i like to Play with out hexes, but what should i choose...stock or extendend? And what About this yamamoto Things? The extended map includes a few more bases around Singapore and between Karachi and Aden. I don't know other details but I know some user developed scenarios like Da Big Babes require the extended map. I am not sure if it will work with stock scenarios since the extra bases are not in the stock scenario database. The other choice is between "Stacking Limits" and "Few Stacking Limits". The former puts a limit on the number of troops in every single land hex, while the latter only has stacking limits on islands/atolls. If the map PWhex file is updated properly either map will work with any scenario. If you prefer to play "without hexes", that may just be a matter of using the F6 key to turn off the highlighted hex borders (but there is a thin line left for the border) or adopting a map that just shows the faint dot at the center of the hex. Just understand that maps have two components - the landscape artwork which the game engine ignores and the data files that the game engine uses to know what is in the hex - road segments, rail segments, hex side geography, hex topography, malaria, cold or temperate zone, stacking limits, etc. You can choose any of the four versions of hex data files (stock or extended, stacking or no stacking) and then apply any artwork that pleases your eye and matches the base locations for the map data. There are "Read me" files for the various map versions out there that explain what to do to install them in your art folder. Just make sure you make a backup copy of the art directory before changing anything.
