Hey this guy puts up some nice videos, a lot on WW2. Most are around 5 mins, but check this one out.

Not all such missions were successful. Take a look at the bridge wing of the USS Bogue serving in the Atlantic. Ultra played its part in both interdictions.

I enjoy his videos a lot - he is a proper historian and mostly they are straight to the point snippets. I have heard many who do not like them, but usually not because of the content. I am a military history buff and often this video sites just tell me things I already know - not Mark Felton.

Telemecus, I clicked on your discord and was told I couldn't join, because my user name was already registered in discord. Which it is, for a different discord, where I use the same name.

Do you know of a solution for that?

Got it!

Back to the clip, I got that they were delivering mica to the Germans and one other thing. It sounded like "shellac" but that can't be it. Anybody know what that was?

spence -> RE: OT Mark Felton Productions (10/25/2019 6:31:33 PM)

Sounded like shellac to me too.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shellac

But we both heard correctly. Things have changed in the last 75 years I guess.

Shellac was a natural substance used to make electrical insulation, prior to the use of plastics.
