GenSlack -> General map question (10/25/2019 5:39:01 PM)

Why are so many cities, ports, etc. unlabeled on the map? This must be intentional. Thanks!

Essro -> RE: General map question (10/25/2019 6:00:01 PM)

Keeps the map neat and clean I suppose. If you hover over the hex it does give city names however in the lower left panel.

AlvaroSousa -> RE: General map question (10/25/2019 6:59:52 PM)

If the map was filled you would be like WOW too many names! I tried to find a balance.

Montbrun -> RE: General map question (10/25/2019 8:30:02 PM)

I make maps for a living - the map definitely needs a pass-over.

I find the map fine. Clear and easy to read. Maybe some minor issues but nothing that cant be changed over time.

"Montbrun" You saying the map need a pass over might be just because you are working with maps.
I would suggest you instead of just saying it need a pass over instead told what needed to be done from your perspective as a map maker. Then "Alvaro Sousa" could change the things he would agree with.

I'm not being critical, at all. I don't know anything about coding, much less creating a game with a competent AI.

Spain looks kind of wonky, the projection is a little bit strange, and there are several hexes that names need to be reviewed.

That's all.

Brad

I don't mind the Peter's Projection, but the UK map I find very off, in particular the location on Manchester (way too far south - it should be north of Liverpool) and Birmingham (too far west), and rail links are a bit strange (though partially because of the off city placement). Also very surprised not to see Bristol on the map - after London, it's the second largest city on south England, but I think Alvaro is on improving the UK city placements! The UK map is better modeled in SC3 (though I'm preferring the Warplan gameplay)

AlvaroSousa -> RE: General map question (10/25/2019 8:57:02 PM)

Is there any locations that are incorrect feel free to post them in a post I'll be happy to change them on the map I will double-check them of course

Montbrun -> RE: General map question (10/25/2019 10:04:24 PM)

Maybe we need to make a Map Sticky?

Good suggestion.

Fintilgin -> RE: General map question (10/26/2019 1:42:29 AM)

The map projection is... challenging, and the USA is last priority for changes, but as a New Englander... um....

Well, here's my suggestion for a couple tweaks:

(possibly move Boston one hex south too?)

EDIT: I might lose the rail corridor across northern Maine coming from Quebec.

AlvaroSousa -> RE: General map question (10/26/2019 2:15:18 AM)

It's a Peter's map projection but I can see where some areas can be improved. Thanks.
