AlbertN -> How many times a Fighter can intercept in opponents turn? (11/6/2019 5:50:21 PM)

Greetings,

That's a question I cannot really find an answer.
If the mechanic should be 'as many times as you have action points left' - that's not it.
If action points reset at the opponent turn - so anyhow it can intercept up to twice, that does not happen either.

I feel something is wrong there but cannot get a grasp of what exactly.
If more people feel to test it - would do good.

If to intercept fighters need an amount of efficiency or health (Which I think would be a good system, infinite intercepts til you're mauled to X - and X is decided by the player, Hearts of Iron 2 and 3 style).

Related to the air war - how much flak is efficient instead in shooting down enemy planes?

That's a darn good question and I'd also like to know what the answer is for naval air missions and carriers as well.

The code is a combination of things to prevent baiting because it costs more to build than to repair. So there is a limiter on OpPts and effectiveness.

Like say the Allies bomb an airfield to oblivian. Then they send up 2 air missions and this obliterated 5 strength fighter comes up and gets destroyed. Is that fair? No.

So if there effectiveness is low... I think under 40% it doesn't fly or their strength under 33%. I forgot the exact #.

This prevents gamey stuff from happening.

Air and naval intercepts only can happen twice per unit per enemy turn under the same restrictions.

Naval fleets in which 50% of the fleet is damaged won't throw itself out on a suicide mission. If I remember correctly.
