Darren_H_slith -> Unable to resize Mission Editor horizontally (11/14/2019 1:55:15 PM)

Not a showstopper by any means, but I am unable to re-size the Mission Editor horizontally, so I cannot see the full description of certain aircraft without using the sideways scrolling tool in the unassigned units window.

I was able to re-size this window in CMANO.

Hi,

The overall ME window is fixed in horizontal width deliberately, for reasons of UI layout.

However, within the various panels you can still use scrollbars to scroll horizontally, as in this example:

Thanks Dimitris, yes I was aware of the scroll tab at the bottom, but was in the habit of expanding on a second monitor to see airfield location in full. I'm sometimes a little geographically challenged! Thank you for the prompt reply.

I'm bafled its delibirate, I find it very annoying.
IMO we should be able to resize horizontal.

I agree that this is rather aggravating. Other windows can be resized freely, which is very useful on dual screen setup. Hopefully this can be looked at again in a future update.[:)]

agreed. Each window should be fully re-sizable imo.

doesn't matter if it obscures text, that's the users issue I think.

guanotwozero -> RE: Unable to resize Mission Editor horizontally (11/16/2019 1:54:39 PM)

I think the issue is that it contains a number of subwindows & input fields - some of them dynamic/conditional, and it's important that they don't get covered over or shrunk. I've not programmed a Windows UI for a while, but one approach may be to set a minimum size for each field/subwindow (with default relative positions) and a minimum size for the enclosing window which will preserve that relationship. However there may well be other issues I'm not aware of. Dynamic windows with conditional components are never straightforward.

It wasn't a problem in CMANO and the Mission Editor window looks very similar.

Yeah, needs to be fixed. Absolutely no reason it should't be re-sizable.
