ZoroastroBR -> TACVIEW Steam Bundle (11/14/2019 2:17:43 PM)

Hi guys, just thought everyone should know, in Steam there is a bundle for TacView + CMO where if you buy CMO and then procede to buy TacView Advanced it will be 25% off [:D][:D][:D]

guanotwozero -> RE: TACVIEW Steam Bundle (11/14/2019 2:40:13 PM)

Anyone know if I buy Tacview on Steam can I also use it with non-Steam apps such as DCS or P3D?

IainMcNeil -> RE: TACVIEW Steam Bundle (11/14/2019 2:43:05 PM)

Yes you should be able to use the TacView Steam version in the same way as the stand alone one.

Good stuff, thanks!

Wow! Tacview is now on Steam. [8D]
It is important to note that during sales you can get Tacview Advanced for 50% off and if you buy more than 10 licenses, then you only have to pay 15€ per license for the Advanced version because of the quantity discount. (At least this is true for the non-Steam-version.) In another forum there is a (German) thread about buying Tacview together for the discount in the last sale: Tacview
Maybe they will do it again in the next sale.

Thanks for the tip! Was just about to go get TacView, but got it from Steam. And yes, even if you didn't buy the 'bundle' initially, you get the discount on Tacview Adv. even if you already purchased CMO earlier/separately.

Do I need the advanced version of TacView for CMO?

Yes. You can, however, try out the advanced features in the free edition for 3 weeks (free trial).

I see. Thanks for the answer, guys.

So it would work without STEAM on a machine if I move it to another CPU like my laptop?

And if I could where and how to activate the free version of TACVIEW? Don't see anything in the manual so far....
?

<edit> Installed the Tac Advanced from the Tacview site. Located the directory and selected the Tac view exe in options. It just takes me to my directory for CMO. I have tried a few times..... Still, doesn't work. Is there something I'm missing?

<edit2> on the second re-load it worked. Wow weird.

LMychajluk -> RE: TACVIEW Steam Bundle (11/14/2019 11:10:27 PM)

@ETF - 'Like any other Steam game' = Install Steam on all your PCs and log into your Steam Account. You can then install any of your Steam games or Apps and use them on any PC, one at a time. It will NOT work w/o Steam.

The only configuration for CMO and TacView is to point CMO to the TacView.exe (once you install it) in the Game Options.

Also, if you already bought CMO, you can still get the discount on tacview in the bundle, since the bundle just notes that you already own CMO.

All I get is a blank window, i really dislike software that assumes you are a complete jock and understand exactly how and where to install everything. I have Command MO, downloaded the Tacview trial version and need some expert assistance on how and where to install and run.
