I'm on the fence with this one. I'm inclined to make the jump. How does Warplan compare to the Gary Grigsby War in the East and West as far as a decent simulation, just not as complex as Grigsby?
Grigsby's games take me a couple of days to complete a turn. A Warplan turn takes me 30 mins max. Sometimes less. It's deep but simple to play, and yet I find so many instances where it plays historically 'accurate' on a strategic level. The naval aspect of the game is superior to almost any other game I've played at this level.
Have to wait until Wednesday, but I'm gonna get this. Sounds too good to pass up and the developer has been so active here with comments that I'm comfortable in backing this project.
