So this bug exists in both CMO and CMANO and has for some time now. When adding sensors to a platform you must close the sensor menu entirely in between sensors or evey single sensor added in that session will use the sensor arcs of the last sensor Applied.

To clarify if you wanted to add a radar to a ship say an AN/SPY-1 and give it the normal 120 degree arc that will work fine but if you then add a rotating radar such as an AN/SPS-48 the previously added AN/SPY-1 will inherit the 360 degree sensor arc of the latter radar. This was not initially the case but changed in late 2018 in CMANO and has continued on into CMO. It makes the process of adding sensors for units slow and painful and I strongly suspect it is not intended behavior.

This is infinitely reproducible with sensors by doing as I said although it seems to not happen with weapons for whatever reason

Yeah it's pretty annoying because it increases the time to build a unit significantly and if you mess up once you have to redo it

Indeed it does, and while I noticed weirdness with arcs from time to time i never associated it with the gui add process other than thinking 'i guess I messed up sensor xyz...delete..redo..'. Just being aware of the bug is a godsend and explains so much. :)
