paulrsxk -> [RESOLVED] message window causes screen freeze (11/21/2019 3:07:42 PM)

Guys,

I've been playing through the tutorial scenarios. If I interrogate the message window the screen freezes. Drop down menus continue to function but everything in the screen is frozen.

Checked CP and memory usage and it is rarely above 30. Windowed or full screen the problem is the same.

If I close the game down and then renter it works when I reload the AutoSaved scenario and the units have actually moved even though the screen had frozen.

Win 7 SP1 i7-2006K CPU 3.40 ghz, 16GB memory GeForce GTX 1080 G Force Graphics card

Thanks

Paul

Hi,

When you say "if I interrogate the message window", what action are you describing?

Thanks.

Hi Dimitris,
If I expand the messages/events within the message window (whether detached from the main screen or not) the map and the sprite graphics on the map freeze within the window. I'll try running one of the tutorials and not look at the message window just to confirm that it is the trigger for the map freeze.

Thanks

Paul

OK, just completed a simple air tutorial mission without any freezes. I switched to the non-interactive view in a detached message log window and it seems to have cured the problem.

Cheers

Paul

Hi,

Is this still happening with the new update? (Build 1134.3)

Thanks.
