Hello,
I have a low speed modem where I play the game (I download at work and carry it home). When I am playing the game and have the internet on (downloading e-mail), it appears that the game is attempting to down load map content. I suddenly see 'blocks' of terrain with more detail.
And this is okay except, twice when the internet interrupts, the main game screen suddenly turns into a huge red X.
Does the game automatically attempt an internet connection, and IF SO, is there a button to turn it off?
And if not, could I request such a control?

Far as I know it does it automatically.

+1 for an option checkbox to manually disable it.
