CMO 1115.8.1

Torpedoes behaving very oddly, losing the wire for no reason.

Not holding Depth ?

Detonating miles away from the intended target for no apparent reasons.

17:07:05 - Weapon: Mk48 Mod 7 ADCAP CBASS #1468 has detonated, 0m from intended target point.

17:06:34 - Weapon: Mk48 Mod 7 ADCAP CBASS #1467 has detonated, 0m from intended target point.

Sometimes doing this right after launch, killing the host platform.

In addition - destroyers e.g. the Orlan class taking forever to do an emergency full power turn to avoid torpedoes. Like dropping their speed down to just over 3kts ? And turning at approx 90deg every 30 seconds... just seems wrong. I appreciate their absolute speed would fall, but they would certainly be able to accelerate through the turn and indeed do that full turn in no time at all, they heel those things over HARD !

Anyway hope the save helps watch the torps just kamikaze for no reason

Yeah I saw Mk46 torpedoes in Northern Inferno if they didn't find the target they tried to re-acquire but they started diving and kept going down to 1500 ft or deeper. They wouldn't circle around at the same depth, they just dived.

Anyone else having issues or is this something I set wrong somewhere ?

AlabamaExile -> RE: Torpedoes miss-behaving (11/26/2019 2:19:33 PM)

I have had similar issues to apd1004 in Northern Inferno. My Mk46 missed the sub on the first attempt, then circled and reacquired the sub. The torpedo then chased the sub until it got to a point where it should have either hit or missed, but then seemed to lose contact and circle again without generating any hit/miss dialogue in the message log. I launched two additional Mk46s that did the same thing. I haven't seen it happen again but something definitely was not working correctly.

Thanks for the detailed description and save file.

Logged for investigation. (13375)

I'm unable to reproduce this in a current build -- if you are still seeing this issue please let me know. Thanks!
