My submarines seem to change weapons instantly, no reloading time for the tubes. Is it just me?

USING CMO build 1115.5 I think.

I saw the same behavior on Northern Inferno boomers scenario, I was running at 1 times and it was the original steam build.
I switch to nuclear dc missle and it happened instantly.

Ill see if I can find a save example of this.

Found one please see attachment, if you load this scenario requires northern inferno, select the USS Whale, click weapons, expand first tube, turn off NuclearDC weapon already selected and pick the MK48 Mod 1, press play at 1x and you will see it instantly load the tube. The AI might get the same benefit as I had an attack on my TF in one of the next scenarios where more than one set of torpedoes(more than the number of tubes) were launched, I found an sunk him thinking that was really weird that so many torps were launched so quickly. Although I have no save of this.

This might explain why my wires are being cut prematurely ?

The weapons are not loading immediately. The status is not being refreshed in the window. If you close and reopen the weapon window, it will show the reloading time.
