Try to start a new game,then:

You need to have your computer operating system set to English.

The program is unable to convert the characters in the text files to the language you are currently using.

You should contact Matrix Games/Slitherine customer support. The have a lot of experience helping customers install newly purchased games and get the program running.

well,after a month email communication and try Several way include fully reinstall,compatibility,system language,newest patch,and the issue persists.then Slitherine support tell me report the issue in the forum.[&:]

Back in post #3 where you said you changed the your system to English, the attached bug report from the same post still shows your system running Simplified Chinese.

You might want to double check your language settings again.
