When my opponent sends me a turn, he sends it to my AOL address and to my Gmail address simultaneously. However, I get the gmail one 5 or more minutes later. I presume that's because Trump's Space Force is reading all my gmails before forwarding them to me. Perhaps they just held the two of yours until sending them together.

"Sleepless in Seattle 2"

Elderly Tom Hanks is an ex-merchant marine who enters early retirement after a scuffle with Somali pirates off the coast of Africa. Unable to captain tankers anymore, he finds solace in playing an obscure, higly complex strategy game, which utilises an obscure feature called PBEM. His highly successful campaign against an opponent from the East Coast comes to an abrupt end, when Hanks receives an email suggesting his whole campaign has been closely monitored by the US military intelligence. Scared for his life, Hanks is on the run aided on his journey by some of the most intelligent old weirdos in the USA who call themselves "Kampfgruppe Cocks Bazaar"

He would freak out at the laser dots coming from my Christmas laser projector thingy. Looks like a whole regiment of seals is trying to get a bead on you!

AOL is still a thing? I tend to learn something new everyday. Today it just came early [:'(]

Verizon moved their @verizon.net email accounts to AOL quite a while ago, I have to go to aol.com to access my xxx@verizon.net emails...
Wonder when the next switch will be [8|]

The buggers at Verizon also seem to have sold my phone number to everyone. I might actually have to try out 'do not call' functionality.

I have a landline phone at home and the phone set has an answering machine and, most importantly, "block number" buttons. I get calls from scammers, survey companies, politicians, and advertisers or all kinds but setting their numbers to be blocked has cut the crap immensely! I generally do not give out my cell phone number.

fcooke -> RE: Funny occurance (12/18/2019 10:12:13 AM)

Might have to upgrade my landline. Or ditch it completely. I think I can lose the landline and 'cable' without too much pain. Need to figure out the internet. Though I am beginning to think my own T1 would be cheaper than what I have today. And I don't need more than a T1.

Oh no! And I was so looking forward to it.

The other dumb thing Verizon does is resend a week worth of past emails at once. [8|]
