vonspee -> Graphics Issue at Map Edge (12/19/2019 3:56:10 AM)

Hello Fury team, I have noticed a problem when moving near the maps edge checking units etc. I don't know what it is called precisely, but it appears to be "clipping" and jumbling up the image as you move your mouse. It shows your units in the incorrect hex, scatters borders etc. If you adjust your zoom level, it fixes it. But I imagine this is not working by design. I have attached some screenshots to better explain what I am seeing.

This has been an issue for some time now, including with the other game builds like SC-WaW which has US naval units shifting out of ports on the West coast into the open sea a few hexes away. The good news is that it is not permanent as it does resolve itself by zooming out or scrolling away and then back again.

Not sure why this hasn't been fixed yet...

Thanks again for the report and the only reason I haven't been able to fix this yet is that I haven't been able to repeat it on my end. It is still on my list to fix however.

Could it be that it only happens when playing a certain resolutions? I'm using 1920 x 1080.

I get it using 1920x1080 with an old Nvidia card (GT450) on a Win7 machine.

Thanks everyone, I can confirm that this is now fixed for a future update.

Great news. This bug was especially frustrating for me while playing the new March to Paris campaign.

I don't remember if I encountered this in SC WiE, but I definitely get it with SC-WaW, so will this be fixed for this too?

Thanks,

C

The fix will apply to all the games when they are next updated [:)]

I've just experienced a very severe case of this in playing the new March on Paris scenario.

My resolution is 1920x1080 running on Windows 10.

My video card is an NVIDIA Geforce RTX 2070 with 8G video ram and up-to-date drivers.

My system is an Intel i7-9700 @ 3.6 GHz with 16 G ram.

The reason I describe this as very severe is that after I gave a movement order to a unit in the (visually) affected area, it ended up moving to a different hex than I had ordered it to go to.

I hope the fix hasn't been released yet and wasn't included in the update with the new scenario (because if it was, it is not fixed on my system).

Up until now the problem was a minor inconvenience that could be cleared up by moving the map up and down or back and forth.
It didn't reposition terrain or cause you to move to hexes you didn't want to move to.

I hope I'm commenting on an already resolved issue.

The fix/update is not yet available, will be when we next update the game.

Thanks for clarifying.

Looking forward to the update when it eventually happens.
