B52H -> Cold War Continued Blog (12/19/2019 7:20:21 PM)

As a complement to several scenarios I have posted, I have decided to create a story in a blog detailing a hypothetical NATO-Warsaw Pact conflict in an alternate reality timeline in the early 1990s. The premise behind the blog is that a military coup occurred in the Soviet Union in 1989, resulting in the complete restoration of the Warsaw Pact as a political and military entity at the height of its existence. I plan on publishing a “Wikipedia” detailing the order of battle of nearly every nation during this time period in a similar fashion to Northern Fury without the massive drawdown of armed forces at the end of the Cold War.

However, I do not seek to emulate existing works such as NF or other storylines despite the similarities between the settings. Instead, I will focus on concentrating on numerous characters to tell the war from a “personal” standpoint in addition to a military storyline like The War that Never Was by Michael A. Palmer.

The first post of the blog has been posted and serves as an introduction to the storyline. The first posts of the blog will focus on background and several of these may be about fictionalized versions of true events. Enjoy and offer any suggestions as needed!

As a complement to several scenarios I have posted,...

Judging from the scen-date CWCAFR is related to this thread.

What about WW3GER 0.5 Black Horse Riders?
Are there any more scenarios?

B52H -> RE: Cold War Continued Blog (12/21/2019 11:56:33 AM)

WW3GER is unrelated to this project, although a similar sized-battle will happen later in the blog.

As for the other scenarios, CWC 1: Eve of Destruction, details the entire air war in Germany. The scenario is outdated several years, but you can always give it a shot!

Do you have a Twitter (or other social media) that you could post when a new entry goes up?

Great read so far.

B52H -> RE: Cold War Continued Blog (12/24/2019 7:05:14 PM)

I have not made a Twitter account for the blog nor do I plan to.

Glad to see the blog has quite an audience.

This is good stuff! I'm following it by the lo-tech method of keeping a browser tab open.

Newest post is up. I plan on making a Twitter account which will be created later for the page.
