Thank you for reading the AAR, John. Yes, we are continuing the game after the Axis victory has been accomplished. The United States has vast industrial capacity and we would like to see if this capacity can allow them to carry on. Continuing also allows exploration of the naval war. As the Axis player it is fun for me to have German Flugzeugträger (aircraft carriers) which are not seen often. I also get to see that my "coup" of taking the Panama Canal with the Japanese is very hard to support. If we continue for a bit longer we will begin to research, and produce, and battle with, units that come later in the war. We are all part gamers, and part play testers now. I will take this opportunity to thank my gaming partners, who began this game before Christmas. We have had spectacular turnaround, quite possibly a record number of turns per month. I hope you continue to read. Please let me extend an invitation for you to join a game. Chuck de Young

If they can throw the Germans out of Ireland the defenses of Great Britain will look much more impressive. If they can not these defenses will look vulnerable. Getting supplies and reinforcements to the islands will be difficult with Japanese submarines in the path. The islands have been garrisoned and the USN has long been planning for their defense. A mixture of carrier and land based air participated in the attack. Our losses have been described as "not damaging" and the enemy losses described as "severe". February 2nd, 1942 Baldwin Hanson, Military analyst, New York Tribune The British have been placing very large forces in the important cities they need to hold. We saw Rangoon finally fall. Here are the butcher's bill for two German assaults on Bombay and Casablanca. Both cities held and Bombay extracted a heavy penalty from the Germans. February 2nd, 1942 Baldwin Hanson, Military analyst, New York Tribune To support operations in Ireland the Luftwaffe staged a massive raid on Bristol. The RN HQ is situated there. The raid sank 17 cargo ships, and the RAF defenders suffered more losses than they inflicted. This single raid put a significant dent in the POL stocks of Germany. While there they saw some carrier aircraft and called on the KM carriers to investigate. On such little happenstance big battles occur. February 2nd, 1942 Baldwin Hanson, Military analyst, New York Tribune Japan took Singapore after a long campaign. Japanese carrier planes raided Hawaii and the IJN pursued ASW operations west of there. Japan advanced a small distance from Davao, and made a touch and go raid north of Lesgapi.

Is there any way to defend England and Scotland? Battle hardened German troops with much experience from the Ostfront must not be allowed a foothold. March 2nd, 1942 Baldwin Hanson, Military analyst, New York Tribune Germany and Japan have made peace with the Soviets. Guam was captured in a major operation. The Philippines are also getting a lot of attention from the Japanese, and Pearl Harbor was struck by an air raid. German Panzer divisions have been reported in Indochina.

The rest of Russia is finding a way to live with the Germans. America and Britain fight on to prevent the Axis from global hegemony. The USA is somewhat frustrated by the defeats in Eurasia, but still willing to fight. In the last months we lost many small Islands in the Pacific, but also recovered Panama Channel and a major operation will expel the Japanese from Baja California. We also were prepaed for a long resistance in the Phillipnes, where big factory is finally in operation. Our new P-38´s are being mass produced and we hope it will allow us to Challenge the Japanese in the air. Unfortunately, the invasion of Great Britain is a major blow to Allied efforts. We were approached by our British allies with an offer to end the war. The USA is a big power, but it´s unable to fight alone. Game over. Congratulations to the GAxis player.
