Was trying to watch one of the bigger scenarios AI V AI how long does it normally take to load up as it seems to be stuck with the please wait message ??

It depends on the length of the scenario, number of units and AI scripting. I just ran AI vs AI for Rats vs The Ram (9 turns) in one minute, 17 seconds. El Alamein just finished 45 turns and took 35 minutes, 23 seconds.
