alghblag -> [Logged] Mission Change Crashes Game (12/21/2019 4:55:20 PM)

Trying to play the new CWC Eve of Destruction from the Steam workshop, but changing the mission on an aircraft immediately crashes the game.

Thoughts?

A save and steps taken to reproduce?

The savegame is available here

Any attempt to change mission on that scenario results in immediate crash. Give it a shot: Try to assign an airplane to North FRG CAP.

Edit: Also tried in the old version of the scenario, with the same result. Have not yet encountered this in other scenarios.

Edit 2: Attempting to update the database deletes all units and airfields.

I would prefer a save (not the scenario file) before it happens so I can see the actual setup

As I mentioned in the description, the solution for now is to change the mission using the mission editor only, attempting to do it from the airfield on that scenario will crash the game.

Okay, so this is a specific scenario issue and not a game one?

Tookatee -> RE: Mission Change Crashes Game (1/21/2020 8:24:09 PM)

I'm not entirely sure; I have a feeling it's related to the sheer amount of units in the scenario, but I haven't been able to find any other similarly sized scenarios to test it on.

I found a copy of the scenario from the last CP, and can confirm it does 'die' when assigning directly from the a/f planes. Same plane thru ME is okay.
Can proceed with investigation.
