Didn't want to make (much less read) this thread, but Ron was a big part of the old WitP community and he deserves commemoration. Passed away on March 3, 2017 at age 51. Too young...wayyyyy too young. Wherever you are Ron, hopefully it has a good view of well endowed beach bunnies playing volleyball on Zakynthos! Edit: Added link to obit

Kull, I'm confused by this. I had been lead to understand that Ron Saueracker was his forum name, that his real first name was Dirk. Was I under a misunderstanding?

Well, his Forum avatar info said he was from Ottawa and we know he lived in Greece for a while, and both are noted in the obit. I'd like to be wrong, but I doubt it.

Wasn't it DivePac whose name was Dirk? (If not, I apologize for sidetracking things.) I didn't know Ron at all except for his name and avatar, but I'm sorry to hear he passed so young. Kull, how did you find out? It's very nice of you to give us this sad news. And it's nice of the community to remember him.

Wow! I read the link, and saw it was two years ago, but I'm shocked and saddened nonetheless. So sorry to read this, Ron was a good guy, and I'll miss him.

Ron was one of the best guys I played in PBEM. Fun and did not things seriously. We agreed to a rematch but then he moved to Greece to open a bar. And then we got his avatar. [&o] As others have said - fair winds.
