And the political results are fantastic, are they not?
Oh, wait, there is no political agenda for Afghanistan, the US government knew it all the time, and they lied about it. It is just an expensive training ground.

"To watch the courageous Afghan freedom fighters battle modern arsenals with simple hand-held weapons is an inspiration to those who love freedom. Their courage teaches us a great lesson—that there are things in this world worth defending." -- Ronald Reagan, March 21 1983
According to former USMC Sgt. Jimmy Massey, "America's Finest" don't punch just the enemy in the face. In his own words, “I killed innocent people for my government. And for what? I feel like I’ve had a hand in some sort of evil lie at the hands of our government. I just feel embarrassed, ashamed about it. ... I spend long hours speechless and looking at the wall, seeing nothing but images of dead Iraqis.” https://inmotionmagazine.com/opin/pr_sjm.html
There will always be disgruntled former members of the military, the fact is most if not all their grousing is sour grapes because they felt they did not get their due somehow. Remember Kerry and his claims we had wide spread atrocities in Vietnam, in almost every case they were lies or simply embellishments on things that happened or were actually false since the suppised vet that told him the story never actually served.
