I'm having problems understanding how can I cross from Atlantic ocean from Mediterranean (or vice-versa) as Axis. I have an Italian submarine standing on the hex saying "To the Atlantic Axis Only (1 turn)". I figured that meant I need to be on that tile and wait one turn and then the sub will be place on the other side. But nothing happens.

Do I have to control Gibraltar otherwise I'll never be able to cross over?

At the end of the Axis turn you will get a message from the Regia Marina asking if your sub wants to pass through the Straits. Answer 'Yes' and they will rock up on the west side of the Strait next turn. Unless it's a custom map and the loop.txt entry needs fixing...

Thanks, I went to take a look, and sure enough the start positions of the event were wrong (I'm playing the 653H campaign). So I copied the full text of that event from the loop.txt "1939 Storm over Europe" campaign (with the correct positions), saved it, exited the game, reloaded and then completed the turn, but still nothing.

The new loop.txt won't take effect in a started game.

OK, that explains why. I should have taken note of the hex positions in the original loop file, now I will have to find them by trial and error [:)]
