Has anyone also stoped playing the game because of all the bugs and the constant new beta patches? I want to play a game without keeping in mind this or that bug. When will the next official patch been released?

Nope, still playing. The beta patches are the right way to go. Bugs are squashed at a very high rate. The next offical patch is scheduled for 3 january if I am not mistaken. And because of the beta patches, the number of bugs in that one will be very few from the looks of it (latest G beta patch is really good).

There are a few bugs around but none of them have had any significant impact on my games.

Not stopped - just had some restart. One of my opponents may have quit - or two, or maybe it's just holidays. On the other hand if the 'railroading' persists the game can turn quite repetitive quickly.

Alvaro said so a few weeks ago. Don't know if the 3th is still the date he aims for, but that was the plan. But plans can change of course.

He doesn't have clean beta yet. So I think getting an official version in the next day or 2 is about a million to one.

Anyway you can put me in the stopped playing list now. Not playing again till the next official patch. God knows when that will be.

stopped playing since my game is broke. ai quits and i cant continue and cant download or install the patch from beta. will wait until its offical i guess and hope it helps.

Still playing best game around for this level of strategy. The newest beta is pretty much the most solid ever. That some of you are complaining that the beta patches are fixing bugs rapidly and having multiple releases is mind boggling. But have fun as always.

LOL! the dreaded matrix "quality" control delay! Then the challenge of downloading because the in-game updater never works. Anyway, I applaud Alvaro's open approach to bug fixing. I'm sure it will benefit his development of the Pacific version.

I am probably just missing the "bugs" likely because I am way too old and bored by the same old historical outcomes on the exact same times they occurred, etc. In fact, the editor gives one the power to create your own wars, and that is my focus. [:)]

I've taken a break as well, in part due to social stuff, but also because the game still has several things I'm waiting for to get corrected. I'm not interested in starting a game just to restart it in 2-3 weeks. Been there and done that. I'm still happy the game came out when it did, even if it was possibly too buggy for a release. This is the new 'norm' of how gaming software works at this level. Even big companies like Paradox use their buyers as (beta) testers.

WarPlan is a new engine on how to do WW2 that didn't follow the standard practice many companies take. So yea there is a lot. We did a good beta and got a lot of things accomplished. One of the main bugs that impacted the game was when I added a feature post release that I had to fix over a few patches. But now the game is in pretty good shape. The good news is that any future releases on this model will be significantly less buggy. Pacific will be easy. I test, see what works, what doesn't, each game adds new features and better A.I. using the previous version as a base.

In general I am quite enjoying my time - and I can live through patches or better the betas. Alvaro is extremely quick in fixing things and very responsive. Something in general that is not found around for other games where you need to wait for eons for patches. It's more the future perspective that worries me!

Still playing. Hard to stop. Love trying different strategies. Presently in the happy time of my game. Trying the sub strategy and Operation Sealion. Was pleasantly surprised that US declared war early May 9, 1941. Playing through the beta patches. No issues for me. [:)] Love the game. I just recently decided to take a pause until the next patch. I basically been play both side of a hotseat game to work on strategies and counters. Basically got to the point where the Soviets need serious Lend Lease from the West Allies to survive 1942 and ran into a bug that limits it to the soviet merchant fleet. That pretty much stopped me in my tracks.

Frankly should not stop playing due to one or more bugs … software will have these … and the more useage, the more they are exposed …. and Alvaro is a bug smashing machine …. this game is far more supported along these lines than anything else I've seen for a long time ….. Play, find issues as you can and raise these ….. sit on the sidelines and get what you sow ...
