Monkie -> Chrome told me to change my matrix password? (1/5/2020 9:22:46 PM)

Had an interesting pop up show when I logged into the Matrix website. It said that Chrome was searching the internet and thought that my password and login might be compromised due to a data breach and recommended changing my password asap.

Has anyone else encountered this lately?

I changed the password just in case but it was kinda worrying since you can access download and grab the serials all from one persons account.

Monkie, make sure you check everything, I never change stuff but not sure about this one. Did you try a different browser? Go back maybe and change again, just hoping it wasn't a hack.

It only showed up a couple of times, it was simply an info box within Chrome and it wasn't asking for information to be input or for me to press any buttons on it.

The password I was using was a common one I had used across several other sites with the same login name, so it may have been compromised on the dark web. So in fact it might be a positive thing I changed them all at this point. I don't think there was a hack aimed at the matrix website in particular, but thought I'd ask if others had seen it just out of curiosity in case it was related to the site.

I use malwarebytes pro edition which does have real time protection, and it does do a very good job of stopping pop-ups and finding malware. I have done several scans over the past couple of weeks and nothing was found.

It sounds fine monkie, after all these years, anything to be done by an email or message I just delete and try log into the site later on. Malwarebytes is a great program, good job and have fun gaming.
