Hi Alvaro,

In a multiplayer game I am playing the allies encircled the northern port of Finland. Previous to the encirclement the port was at supply 1. After the encirclement, the port was at supply 9, event though it was blocked by allied naval vessels. Why is this?

There are two different models at work here.

Main supply which it had.

Port supply which it now has.

Main supply can't be interdicted, Port supply can.

The problem in game mechanics is when to use which. This is something I have been battling with. In some cases players here prefer to use main supply on a quiet front not using transports and risking losing one. But what if it was attacked. Now do we switch?

So I made it an automatic. It always uses main supply, which in this case is lower and can reach. If cut off it uses port supply which is higher but in this case that supply can easily be interrupted by the Russians with naval and air power. It is also a limited supply source.

With interruption the unit can be brought down to barely getting supplies though worse than the level 2 before.
