Ok. Gents. I'm going to jump in with both feet. Thanx to all of you who have encouraged me to try this. Not only am I going to try writing my first AAR ever. But I'm very new to the game. With over 700+ pages of rules, descriptions, instructions, and examples I have so much to learn. I did watch all of the videos 2x except for that last one on production examples since its 2hrs long(itl'll happen). I did the interactive tutorials as well. But it is so much that I can't possibly remember all of that. So I'll just jump in. I hope the water isn't too cold.

So this is my first attempt at this GRAND campaign....solitaire at that. Hmmm...it took me the better part of two days just to get all of the nations setup.

As stated in my earlier threads, these are monster games of which I have minimal experience. So I know that I will make lots of mistakes along the way, whether it be setting up, tactical/strategic considerations, MWIF rules, or just how to use the interface. I appreciate all of the help you can give me. I will say this...I NEVER thought that I would ever play this game because it doesn't have an AI, and because the $99 price tag. But I got it on this awesome sale along with my coupon, for just $16. Can't beat that.

But it has been a truly fun experience playing solitaire as it requires a different mindset. Maybe if I can become halfway proficient, I can try some multiplayer too. Lets jump on in there....

Here are the Scrap pages for the various nations. I wasn't really sure what logic I wanted to use when scrapping units(yet). So I just went with what looked good to me based on age, and cost at times. I think on a couple of them I eliminated units by accident. But I think I got it straight now. We'll just roll with it and see what happens...hey, its a learning experience.

Oh before I forget there is the "Siberian Question". I decided to swap some USSR troops for Siberian. It seemed the thing to do as I suppose that they are rated higher??? Advantages? Disadvantages?

Also I was given the option to draw 3 chits. I decided to use two of them in the German/Italy Entry Pool and 1 in the Japan Entry Pool.

Ok...back from the digression.

After setting up, the weather seemed fine in all of the weather zones. Of course the game, ahem...sim is scripted for the Axis to gain the initiative and make a Declaration of War against Poland. However, if I recall in real life didn't they just invade Poland without a DOW? Either way it resulted in a US Entry Event roll of 7. If I understand correctly the Die roll has to be 12 or less on this one. So the US did get upset and this results in a chit pull.
