stolypin -> [FIXED] Build 1121.6 - unable to load saved game (1/29/2020 3:02:54 AM)

After putting many hours into a scenario this afternoon, I find I am unable to load any of the saves (including the auto saves).

I get the message: ERROR: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

I am using the latest 1121.6 build.

Scenario is community scenario "Mediterranean Fury 1, The Road to Byzantium, 1994."

Hi,

We're sorry for this!

Can you post the save files here if possible?

Attached is one autosave file. All of the autosave files as well as the save files that I gave specific names to (including one very early in the scenario) have the same problem.

I think I found the root cause of this issue. There is a rare condition under which, during the serialization of a "side" object, an error is thrown which prevents the side data from being completely written and prevents the rest of the scenario from being saved.

Adding now more safeguards to prevent this from happening in the future. This will be included on the next update.

Unfortunately, your saves cannot be restored. You will have to start the scenario again.

Sorry [:(]

No problem, I intended to start again anyway to try a different strategy.

Thanks.
