Here is the thing, it takes 8 Mk48 to sunk a CATOBAR, if Mk48 missed it and take 8 of them then it understandable but I think torpedo is something that can sunk ship if it impacted. I also guess this is not DB problem.

Took 6 when I tried it. Oh, actually 5. One torpedo was fired at the escort. But the torpedoes are fired one after the other. It may have already been sinking and a couple were overkill. You don't have any information available to you on damage to the CV.

A 65000 ton carrier can withstand some damage. Much more so than a similar sized merchant ship. Doesn't seem out of line to me.

It took a FOUR WEEK SINKEX to sink CV-66. Granted they didn't want her to go down in an afternoon, but she took one hell of a beating and had to be intentionally scuttled before sinking.

OK Maybe I was wrong what I know about torpedo was the video below,so I thought I can kill those CV with only few torpedos.
