Model1950 -> Supply/Ammo Bug 1.12.03? (2/5/2020 9:37:40 AM)

Currently playing several 1.12.03 games and I believe the old supply bug is still present.

Also I see something "weird" in the fact that several units appear to have far more ammo then needed unlike 1.11.03.

The units that get starved for fuel have far more ammo then needed, is there something new in 1.12 that gives more ammo then 1.11?
This seems like a clear waste of trucks holding ammo and not holding fuel for mech/armor units.

Feel free to PM for server info so this can be pulled.

Units start with a lot of ammo, and in early Barbarossa expend mostly fuel. So shortages of fuel should be visible earlier.

Its the same bug that I reported on before in the game with thedoctorking.

As can be seen 2 divisions receive fuel and 1 does not under the same Corp HQ only 10 hexes from RH.

I see what your saying as far as ammo goes, but it would appear only 2 of the 3 divisions received fuel.

I'm sorry, but this is not a version you should be playing. Since 1.12.00 supply details window is not looking like this, there is no phase 2.
No doubt the numbers and stockpiles go crazy if the game is loaded under older version of the game.
Sadly older versions of the game are not preventing you from loading games saved under newer exe, and it may cause a lot of confusion (and damage). Please find out how it happened you're playing older patch.

This looks like our game & I have nothing but 1.12.3 installed on my computer. So my question is what type of craziness are we talking about here?

Maybe Model1950 is launching the game from Steam, and it's not configured to use beta patch channel (Steam likes to revert sometimes to official patch channel seemingly on its own). We'll know more after Model1950's investigation.

Version in window header may come from registry (which means patch is installed somewhere, but you're running different exe), and versions in logistics phase log does not help either - the first number means game was started under that version (usually the Soviet player starts, also version might have changed since that time), and the second number says your opponent executed your logistics phase under that version). So all three numbers does not confirm you're actually running 1.12.03. Only "exe version" from main menu will tell the truth. And the way supply window looks is just screaming it's not 1.12.00+.

Here is info you wanted, I will reinstall my files I guess if you think I possibly got something wrong and just keep playing on to see if it gets worse?

Wow, exe file version seems to be correct, yet as long as supply details window looks like it's pre-1.12 then it must be pre-1.12. Maybe you have multiple versions installed? Maybe one shortcut runs one and another runs correct version?
Please try to reinstall the game (uninstall first), and do it outside Program Files folder.

I am playing 2 games under 1.11.03 and 2 new ones under 1.12.03.

I have each version stored on different HD. Its possible I could have used 1.11.03 to open the game on an early turn, but all my SS are under the right version in all games and turns.

Can't rule it out I guess, see what happens over the next few turns.
