serjames -> [FIXED] Flight groups - wingmen are not accepting Speed or throttle changes (2/13/2020 7:22:22 PM)

game set to group view
select flight of aircraft
press F2 or click the unit orders throttle menu
Set group speed to Military
Only lead takes new speed - wingman doesn't change and lags behind at 480 knots

This is not a new bug as far as I know, but in the past it sometimes worked sometimes didn't this is all groups so far.

This same error is affecting Altitudes - wingman not following lead

This seems to be loadout or attack mission specific. As soon as I drop the bombs (on that attached scenario save) they seem to respond to "B" together and indeed overwriting return speed to Afterburner !? It's definitely not consistent and frustrating to have to set both aircraft individually.

This fix has created unintended problems elsewhere: https://www.matrixgames.com/forums/tm.asp?m=4767703

We may have to tweak it or roll it back entirely....

Perhaps you can make it a doctrine thing?

Oh blimey - yeah that's not good.

Is there a way to distinguish a waypoint change.. e.g. a a strike mission with waypoints should still be treated as a "manual" change as it's key to achieving the mission etc.

It's just things like RTB and other invisible AI changes that seem to be super frustrating to play around. E.g. "why does my jet ignore my orders?" If it was a waypoint change (even automatically created ones) that's ok in my opinion as it's adjustable.

?

Just to add, the fix - seems to have broken the Defensive Throttle up to full Power on missile evasion too... Sorry :-(
