Really liking TBF. Im having alot of fun just like the old days. Just had a real slug fest at Niscemi in Sicily. Ai was very smart, making aggressive grabs at the contested ground half controlled by my forces. I had to really fight hard to keep that ground as I would get a axis major victory if lost. I managed to hold and got a minor defeat but didn't loose any ground. Was a good battle. Armor performed very well on both sides. We slugged it out I got 4 armor killls but lost a half tract and one Sherman. My mortars took out one armor. Arty on my HQ position was very heavy and accounted for a lot of my 25 wounded. I learned to not bunch up in houses. AI was very smart to target this position as i had an HQ there, a few teams, a tank behind the building and motars nearby. Once the arty lifted and most of the armor was overcome, I was able to start to move my men in to flanking positions and the enemy began taking heavy losses as my remaining tank in concert with my advancing men began to catch the enemy in crossfire. The AI was very smart in pushing men into the positions that most held me back from gaining victory locations. If the timer did not run out I believe I could have taken new ground and get a minor victory. Was a tough map and alot of fun

One note. I found it best to turn off free cam and instead edit the map text file to use a pitch of 25 and 40. There is a good post on this forum that goes into detail. Its called “ camera a bit restrictive” You will get a very controllable 3d experience without crazy angles. Really makes the 3d work well and I like it alot. One thing i would really like is better soldier models/uniforms. I used to mod alot on bloody omaha mod, and I think this game deserves a good mod community. So i am going to look into texture modding.
