I was playing SPWaW..all went well but suddendly display went all screwed. Full of vertical bars, different colours that looked they might have been from SPWaW palette... Reboot helped, but later I noticed that when I use 1280x1024 with 16 bit colour I have corrupted pixels here and there, their colour being light green. But when I switch to 32 bit colour all looks fine. Temperatures have been around 30 degrees celsius and of course higher inside the box so that probably played a part. Now the question is: Why I do see those corrupted pixels? Is my vid card damaged somehow? I don't think that the game itself had anything to do with this.

ps. it also seems that when I switch resolution while having 16 bit colours the corrupted pixels disappear

Voriax: I was always under the impression that SPWAW was designed to operate at 800x600 and 16 colors. Maybe I'm wrong but it works great for me there. Good luck:)

You can have your desktop set to whatever resolution or color depth you like. SPWAW switches to itīs mode automatically.

Thanks, but it seems I expressed my problem slightly wrong.
This problem doesn't show in SPWaW, as it uses other resolution than 1280x1024. Only relation to SPWaW is that first problems appeared during game...
Talked with some friends and their guess is that vid card is partially damaged, probably due to overheating...and some parts of the card memory are broken, thus miscoloured pixels at certain display modes.
