jdsrae -> Japanese Naval Ground Forces 1945 (3/11/2020 8:31:50 PM)

I tripped over this link while doing some random searching.
Interesting to compare where I’m using/planning to use these units compared to where they were actually sent.

Nice find! Although some of the images are of atrocious quality.

This document on the left, also seems interesting:
https://www.history.navy.mil/research/library/online-reading-room/title-list-alphabetically/j/japanese-operational-aircraft-cincpoa-105-45-revised.html
This is the only instance, where I see mention, that OSCAR could have been armed with FOUR 12.7mm MGs.

Great link thanks for sharing

Disbandment and absorption of others apparently indicated that JAPAN intended to confine Naval troops outside the Empire to purely defensive garrison and service functions

I don't have time to read this in detail right now, but was wondering if it includes a listing for which of the original SNLFs were disbanded/absorbed into special base forces?
