Hi there,
we have a little problem. In our savegame, a +9 combat help modifier was accidentally added for Japan. Unfortunately, nobody noticed the error until Japan declared war in 1943. Needless to say, the game's now broken since the factor cannot be changed during play.
I tried to fix this issue with a hex editor, but did not succeed at first try. Did someone ever experience a similar problem (not very likely, since it only appears late in the game when it is set for Japan - quite unlucky) or does know where the combat help modifier is stored in the save file? There are a few hundred occurrences of '09', that's for sure :-)
Any help is highly appreciated!
