Features lost on reinstall (Full Version)

I just got a new computer and reinstalled the game on it. I was unable to use the upgrade tool to get to current vision (kept failing to download), so I downloaded the patch from the store and again from the thread referencing the patch.

That worked, but I now get a data error (cannot find file 195785.dat) on some, but not all of my games, and I can no longer see or use the NATO counterset.

Any ideas about what happened and what I can do?

Hmmm, did you load the game, 1st, then the patch? I had recently installed this method, and it work. Not sure.

The NATO counterset is the default setting if you switch off 3-D icons in the Options screen, hopefully doing that will make them appear?

Sorry to hear about the trouble, can you double check the dat file number for me as I'm unable to see it on the World at War PBEM++ server? Unless it might be for a different SC game such as War in Europe?

Ah I see, your posts originally had 195785.dat which I couldn't find, like your first post in this thread which has not yet been edited to the correct number. No problem, I'll look into this now.

Can you please place the following file (via the download link below) in the following hidden folder on your end as this will resolve the issue for you.

C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\My Games\Strategic Command WWII - World at War\PBEM++\<matrixusername>
