grognardgames -> Noob question (4/1/2020 2:12:28 PM)

Hi all,

If this has been addressed, please post a link.
Just picked up the game. I'm an old ASL player so this looks really good to me. I've been messing around as human v. computer in the training scenarios. When it is time for the computer to move, fire etc. I have to continually hit the 'AI Continue' button after each hex they move into. Is there a way to make the AI just complete it's moves without having to babysit every hex?

Also, the graphics seem a bit funky. The info windows at the bottom seem to be cut off partially. I can still see them but they don't look like they do in screenshots or videos I've seen. I've messed around with the graphics in windows but it doesn't seem to do anything.

Thanks and happy hunting.

Hi Grognardgames,

First question: If you are using Fog of War the computer won't stop after every hex moved for the units you don't see. For the ones you see and have a LOS to the AI will stop. This is to allow you to decide upon defensive actions just like Defensive First Fire in ASL.

Question two: This shouldn't be the case. What resolution are you running?

Hi Paullus,
Thanks for the response. I do have FoW enabled but I think you answered my question. So if I have LoS they WILL stop allowing me to take action if I need to. Gotcha! Thanks for solving that problem :).
I am running at 2560x1440 as I have a nicer rig. I've tried different settings but still seem to get the same thing. Not sure there. It's playable, but the dialog boxes seem cropped.

Strange, It should work. I have two pictures here. The first one has a resolution of 1920 x 1080 resolution and the second one a 2560 x 1440 resolution. If it doesen't look like this there must be a setting in your computer that either zooms or scales the image you get.

It's so strange. After going back and forth with settings and restarting my rig, it looks to be stable. Go figure. Thanks for your help! Now I just need to figure out how to use the scenarios on the forum, lol.

Paullus -> RE: Noob question (4/4/2020 1:01:33 PM)

That's great. Regarding the scenarios just download them and put them in the scenario folder. There are some bundles in the beginning of the scenario post.
