tiggwigg -> Artillery targetting bug report (7/22/2003 4:24:06 AM)

This may well be too late or out of scope for the release of SPWAW 8.0, but thought I'd report them in case they hadn't been reported before.

1. Sometimes I use an artillery HQ (unit 0) to target a bombardment. I select the target hex for the HQ then select a target hex for the next unit. The target hex for the first unit is changed so that both have the target hex selected for the second unit. the same happens for the third unit, with all 3 tubes having the same target hex.

2. The same thing occurs when changing/moving the target hex. On moving the target hex for unit 2, the target hex for unit 1 is moved to the same hex. I haven't tested this thoroughly, but I don't think it occurs for independent FO unit.

3. When Setting the priority target hexes at deployment in a battle with para drops or glider landings: you don't know how many computer allocated priority hexes there are set, so I just continue to set them until they are no longer available. When I run out an attempt the set one priority hex to many, the computer will shift the target hex for the first (I believe) glider/paradrop assignment to the hex selected for the excess artillery priority hex.

4. Something I've mentioned before and don't know if it has been fixed...there has been a save bug for email games, where the system saves the files with different date/time stamps, meaning that the files can no longer be opened (corrupt save). I find this happens when the game has been run in another mode (solitaire or megacampaign, don't know about others) prior to running it in email mode. If the game is opened in email mode from a clean new launch, then the file date stamp problem never occurs.
