stolypin -> [More Info Needed] Constant messages about out-of-comms units (4/5/2020 1:26:37 PM)

Using 1139.2, I'm getting flooded with messages along the lines of "X has been classifed as X, an out-of-comms unit. Dropping contact and updating the unit's last reported position."
If the out-of-comms unit is a damaged, stranded ship, I get this message multiple times a minute for hours!
I have tried unchecking "Comms-isolated message" in the Message Log in Options, but that doesn't stop the messages.
Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong?
(I don't get the point of these messages at all. If the unit is no longer combat effective, I don't need to be constantly reminded that it is out of contact).
