Troops move on Danzig, Eastern Poland and the forests northwest of Krakow. Japan The Japanese move on Chengchow, while a reduced level of reinforcements head south. Sep/Oct 1939 Impulse: 1 (Axis) Land Combat: Japan The Fractionals fail (801 thrown) and the modifier is +11. The land throw is an 8(19). The Chinese lose two units as do the Japanese who also have 5 units disorganised. The US Entry roll is a 3 (1 chit is added). Germany The Germans in Eastern Poland have their fractionals succeed (238 is thrown) and the modifier end up on +23. The land throw is a 15(23) and the Polish cavalry is destroyed. The attack on Danzig ends up as +19. No Fractionals and the land throw is a 7(23). The Division is destroyed. The overrun throws are 2 and 1. The convoy is destroyed and the Destroyer Flotilla is captured - although moves to the repair pool. The final attack in the Polish forest sees the fractionals succeed (477 is thrown) and the modifier ends up on +20. The land throw is an 11, The Polish corps is destroyed. The Nationalists move a couple of units. The Polish INF at Poznan moves to NW of Lodz. Wavell debarks to Nantes, Gort to Bayonne. French INF debarks to Nice. No combat. Polish pilots fly to Kaunas and make their way to the UK to join the RAF. B-18 and PBY rebase to Pearl. Weather remains fine. As flying **** go, its fair to say the US don't give one (a 10 is rolled) Japan: Combined Germany: Land Italy: Combined Port Attack: None Naval Air: None Naval Movement: Japan An HQ and MAR are landed in Tsingtao and a MIL on Hainan Strategic Bombing: None Ground Strike: None Rail Movement: None Land Movement: Japan The Japanese use their three points to move the units from Tsingtao toward the front, and to move the SNLF from Pusan to Seoul. Germany The Germans to continue to push on the two key Polish cities, dealing with the outer defences first. A couple of units start to move west from Poland. Copenhagen is taken, as is Frederikshaven. Throws of 3, 10 and 9 see the convoy destroyed and the two coastal battleships sail for Plymouth (let me know if that is okay).
