Playing as SU (all other allies controlled by AI), the UK managed to clear Africa fast and clean, no Germans or Italians left by late '41, and total African control by early '42. Yet the UK clearly cannot do anything with its units, they just board troop transport in Tobruk, than disemberk in the same turn in Benghazi, and then reverse.

So around 4-8 units in North Africa and another 4-8 units in East Africa do nothing just (well over a dozen in total, including two or three HQ) just waste time and MPP. Probably it is not expected a clear African victory and has no goals, or at least this is what it looks like. They could try an amphib landing in Greece or Italy or something...

Thanks for the report, I'll fix this for the next build as this sounds like a bit of a scripting problem as they should indeed be preparing to invade Italy under the right conditions.

I took a quick look and I can see that the range for the UK to try and put units closer to embarkation points for the eventual assault of Italy was a bit too far, so the first part should be fixed, e.g. Tobruk to Benghazi.

I can't see how they would go from Benghazi to Tobruk. Do you have a saved turn I could take a look at for this?

After that, if the conditions are right, the UK AI along with the US AI if they are in position, should try and assault Italy starting around mid 1942. Have you got this far in the game yet?

Sadly have only one save, so no return trip, will try to save it if it happens again. Not yet reached mid '42, hopefully they will attack and it will be just a strange preparation issue. Thx.
