Playing with .40. Any news on sound issues. Sometimes have no sound accompanying movement and/or battles. Sometimes it works fine.Thanks.

I've never heard of that issue, can you see if you have the latest audio drivers?

Yes, I also have this issue from time to time.
And having sound on creates another nasty phenomenon: once I click to move, the sound tries to activates, and I saw a spike on CPU, and whole game dragged for about few seconds before resumes.
I totally disable it after many tries [:(]
The game engine really needs more improvement...

First, let me say that I feel honored to have received a response from the head honcho. I want to thank you for everything you have done to keep TOAW alive all these years.

Second, it appears that my drivers are up to date. It is really an inconsistent thing. I cannot figure out any rhyme or reason as to why sometime I get sound and sometimes I don't. The inconsistency goes so far that a unit may start moving without sound, but have sound by the time it finishes moving. Sometimes no sound at all. Go figure.

In the grand scheme of things, I am sure you have other issues that are more pressing. I can survive with the sporadic sound. I just though it might be something that was already being looked at.

I look forward to other enhancements in the future.
