Why read concise, easy to follow battle reports when you can instead listen to me ramble and stumble over words in an off-putting nasal manner while watching a turn go by?

Probably because I read AARs at work where I don't want to have to listen to audio or watch video.

January 1st, 1942 is up!

My commentary is geared toward new players or those not familiar with the game, so vets will find the videos especially painful to watch.

First turn put up took more than 15 minutes.  It would have taken considerably less time to read the exact same information had it been posted.  That is too much time for me to invest just to see the combat outcomes without any value added.

+1 to the time factor. Good AARs should cut out the tedious stuff and give the reader/viewer info that is important to understand what is happening. That would require editing a video to eliminate the routine parts of the turn execution and dub in descriptions of what your plans were to compare with what happened.
I hope you can do that.

IJN CVE sunk!

Well done: always fun to see an Allied TF play the fox in the hen house in the DEI! Some of the Japanese survivors might burn up or sink while they limp home.

Hopefully he'll think twice about sending in invasion TFs without a SAG to run interference. At any rate, he'll have to make up the lost shipping.

Great day for me as I sneak bombardment TFs in to wreck his airbases on Borneo, letting my 4E bombers have a field day over Balikpapan.

Thanks!

He did a great job protecting his surface TFs up until that point - as the two other surface TFs I had in the area painfully found out. Up until this point, his execution on the naval side of things was really solid. His surface TFs were larger than I would have ran, but his screens, his air cover and his synchronization was impressive.

It was only at the tail end that he left this one TF exposed.

Ambon falls and I'm pressured in China, but otherwise a quiet turn.

Moving through turns at a pretty good clip. I'm worried that my opponent hasn't taken more territory by now - he's methodical where I would be aggressive as the Japanese. It's allowing me to build forts and airfields in Java that will make it tough for him to take.

He's also not very aggressive with naval attack - I've been able to run supplies into Singapore without issue, and it now stands at 170k, long enough to survive a protracted siege.

Unfortunately, my opponent has become demoralized due to the performance of my 4E bombers, and the pace of turns will slow as a result. He's upset because Japanse bombers aren't as durable.
For now I've agree to a new HR of no 4E bombers below 10,000 ft.
