In this screenshot it shows the ALQ-72/87 as an "on board" DECM.

These DECMs were actually externally mounted pods and in most cases were on a hardpoint.

Am I reading this correctly?

Some variants of the F-105 had these pods permanently semi-recessed into the airframe:

Therefore, because they were fitted always regardless of loadout, they are treated as "onboard" components.

EDIT: Perhaps this was only true on the F-105G? Does anyone have hard sources for the F-105D ?

Yes..the "G" model is only one with them mounted directly to the fuselage so as to free up the pylons for Shrikes/stores.
B/D/F and very early G models used under-wing jammer pods only. Actually the F/G "Wild Weasels" didn't use the pods often as it interfered with their own equipment and their job WAS to be a "target".

I'm seeing this on several different A/C types in the CWDB and was just checking to see if it was WAD or a bug. Was planning a bug report in the CWDB depending upon the answer here.

Here is a link from a book that shows they were pylon mounted.

Here is a pic of the pods..
