Ventura1976 -> Scenario Rules (5/1/2020 8:23:15 PM)

I hate to start a thread over such a trivial question, but I've done a search for this question on the forums, and in the e-manual.

Is there a way to check the scenario rules after the first turn? The first turn they're listed in the reports I think. After that I can't find them anywhere. I want to ensure that it is 6 land units that I need to keep within 10 hexes of Warsaw to keep the Soviets from edging toward the Allies prematurely.

Have I missed it somewhere? Otherwise the only other way I can think to find them would be to start a new game, and load the one I'm currently playing after I've re-read them.

By the way I'm fairly new to the hex wargaming genre when compared to most others, and so far I love Warplan. It's been very intuitive, and easy to understand for someone who's newer in my opinion.

Hi

The scenario notes are available as a separate tab under Reports, in the latest beta patch.

You can also read them in a pdf file (located in the Manuals subfolder of your game directory)

Here is the rule in the below screenshot:

Germany needs to keep 6 land units within 10 hexes of Warsaw.

You need to go in Reports -> Game Notes. I do not remember if this is in the last 1.00.06 official patch or in the current beta patch for 1.00.07.

Ahh I see! That must be in the beta patch, and I don't have it quite yet. I'll say that will be very handy once it's released. For now I'll go find the .pdf file.

Thank you both for the help, and the replies!

As a side note I wonder what that Headquarters box will do.

I appreciate it. Is it current save compatible, or would I have to start a new game? Also, are there a lot of bugs in the beta patch, or is it mostly stable?

I do not know for saved game. For PBEM games, I was always able to change the beta version and to continue to play even if my opponent has only the official patch.
In term of bugs, the latest 1.00.07U82 is quite stable and brings lot of corrections and improvements.

Thank you. I'll give it a shot, and see what happens.
