LordPichote -> Support units in the fortifications. (5/2/2020 11:15:24 AM)

Hello.

I have a question.

Support units in a headquarters, artillery, mortars, tanks, motorized.

How do they help in fortification, they must be in a maximum of 5 hexes of a combat unit, just like engineers and construction units or they must be in the same hex they occupy?

Thank you.

Welcome - Pichote is Spanish expression I have not heard in a long time!

An HQ on its own will never fortify in a hex they occupy. So if they do fortify it will be for a unit they are committed to. I have to admit I have never counted or relied on their construction values though.

BTW in certain circumstances construction units help more than 5 hexes away and not only to the immediate direct reports of their HQ, so they are unlike all other support units.

Hello Telemecus, thanks for the welcome, it is a pleasure to enjoy a great game that contributes to lot to the strategy games with all of you.

The instructions are not clear regarding type support units, artillery, tanks, motorized ...

These units are very important to the Soviet player, as a large number of them are at headquarters involved in defense and can assist in the construction of fortifications.

If anyone knows how they help or a designer can help us, your teaching classes will be appreciated.

Cheers
