ORIGINAL: z1812z I bought one after two friends had bought them. They told me how much it improved their enjoyment of gaming and browsing the net. I found the same and I highly recommend getting one. I play 2d and 3d games. Older games like The Campaign Series work well. CMANO is great with the extra screen size for the various information windows. Close Combat looks good too, except for Cross of Iron that does not display in 3440 by 1440. Perhaps there is a work around for COI. In any case I think you will enjoy enjoy a curved screen. Here is the one I bought. MSI Optix MAG341CQ I changed my dual 24" HD setup for a 34" curved Samsung C34F791 display some eighteen months ago, no turning back for me. Initially I used 125% desktop scaling, nowadays I mostly do not use scaling at all, so am able to benefit fully from the 440 x 1440 screen estate. 34" might sound a lot, but as this is a 21:9 ratio it is both lower and less wide too, while packing more pixels vertically, and almost the same no of pixels horizontally as well. I'd say everything is even more immersive, despite the curve, as a 2D game such as Campaign Series looks just ace. I play with Zoom-in 2D view, for the tactical view there's all the detail, while being able to appreciate quite a large area of the map while at it. My full recommendations for a large curved display. I work a few days each week from home office, having this screen estate is really nice for RL as well. At the office I have a dual 23" HD set up, having everything on one large display beats it for work as well. Here's a sample of a 2D (boardgame) view of CS Vietnam Dien Bien Phu sceanario play test game with 21:9 ratio. Attached screenshot is resized from 3440x1440 to 1600x670: [image]http://www.matrixgames.com/forums/upfiles/32195/0BFDC4F9EF0C411ABD998C4D2656DC5F.jpg[/image] And here's a sample of a CS Middle East scenario with Zoom-in 3D (miniatures) view. Looks rather neat in wide screen too, in my humble but of course biased view: [image]http://www.matrixgames.com/forums/upfiles/32195/9348908B874641DEA659ACC576131EE0.jpg[/image]
