charlee22009 -> [WAD] Strange performance figures... of the DA-42MPP (5/21/2020 12:53:13 PM)

The CMO database has the DA-42, when used for maritime surveillance or ISR, showing some outrageous cruising speeds and maximum speeds. Like over 400 knots and high-subsonic for essentially a GA plane? Database # 4614-4616 I mean if they were a little 'off' or just plausibly high... that would be one thing but they're *extremely* fast! The Diamond manufacturer... lists the MCP (max continuous power) cruising speeds at sub 200 Knots. However in the database the 'top speed' is listed at 490 knots @ .77 mach!! This is extremely fast and competes with business-class jets. The DB cruising speed above 12000 ft is 400 knots... whereas the real manufacturer speed is about 175 or less. The real aircraft performance figures (for both the civilian and military ISR versions): https://www.diamondaircraft.com/en/private-pilots/aircraft/da42/tech-specs/ https://www.diamondaircraft.com/en/special-mission/aircraft/da42-mpp/tech-specs/ I understand that the CMO database is massive and could never be perfect. A few speeds are not a big deal for what it does It's already excellent. However, I wanted to point out something that I thought was an error and with the importance of low-cost ISR, C3, and multi-use aircraft... I thought this was important. Thank you for all the work you guys do! Edit: the maximum range of about 1200 NM (in the database) is VERY close to the real, public manufacturer figures so +1
