Twotribes -> Teeth pulled (5/28/2020 2:39:53 PM)

Had my last 20 teeth pulled yesterday and yes my mouth and jaw hurt. Also don't feel well from that. So if I am cranky that is why.

Lobster -> RE: Teeth pulled (5/28/2020 3:20:10 PM)

You need an excuse for being cranky? Gee, I never thought of that. [:D]

Zap -> RE: Teeth pulled (5/30/2020 1:14:46 AM)

So dentures or screw in?

Twotribes -> RE: Teeth pulled (5/30/2020 2:13:19 AM)

Dentures I am not rich gonna have to get bargain basement dentures too they want 4700 at the dentist I got the teeth pulled at.

Zovs -> RE: Teeth pulled (5/30/2020 3:00:05 AM)

I had 22 teeth pulled in 2005, one of the best things to ever happen. After I recovered, I have had no issues. Have had some adjusting to learn with dentures but 15 years later still ticking.

RangerJoe -> RE: Teeth pulled (6/13/2020 9:47:24 PM)

Just don't sit on your dentures. You don't want to bite yourself . . .

Of course, one time on the national news there was a report of a woman with bite marks on her backside. Her husband's dentures fell out during the night . . .

Alan Sharif -> RE: Teeth pulled (6/14/2020 6:43:38 AM)

Ouch. Hope you start to feel better soon.

elmo3 -> RE: Teeth pulled (6/14/2020 11:11:24 AM)

Sorry to hear that. Look on the bright side, you don't need teeth to drink beer! [X(]

MrsWargamer -> RE: Teeth pulled (6/14/2020 12:20:41 PM)

Ouch.

I have pondered yanking my last. I was none too bright as a youth. Didn't take care of them.
I have no lower molars. It's been so long since I experienced the sensation of 'chewing' I forget what it feels like.

But cost tends to make it impossible for me.

Why do we let dental be different than the rest of the body?
I can get free surgery for anything else, but not teeth.

RangerJoe -> RE: Teeth pulled (6/14/2020 4:27:24 PM)

A lot of medical problems are because of dental/oral health problems.

Some dental/oral problems are partly because of other health problems.

giacomo21 -> RE: Teeth pulled (6/15/2020 8:25:57 PM)

I spent so much money on my teeth.
Told the wife"You tell mortician I want my
mouth sewn open when I am in the casket!"

I want to go out with a big smile, it cost me enough!

Many people in my area had their dentures made at a dentist college and it saved them a lot of money.

My dentist left his practice here in the town where I live to work at a dentist office in a metropolitan area that did charitable work. I don't know if a dentist's office like that exists near you or if you would be eligible, but I thought I would mention it just in case.

Good luck!

Twotribes -> RE: Teeth pulled (6/20/2020 12:51:25 AM)

Not sure about dentures but about 60 miles away is a free clinic for dentist work.

Greybriar -> RE: Teeth pulled (6/21/2020 6:50:51 PM)

After your dentures are made it is usually necessary to go in to have them fitted. Whoever sold you the dentures should offer a certain number of fitting visits for free; more than that will cost you or your insurance company "X" amount of dollars, which could get expensive. My dentist gave me unlimited free fittings for as long as I needed them. I suggest purchasing your dentures from someone who offers the same.
